What causes skin cancer?
Skin cancer is mainly caused by ultraviolet rays from the sun which damages the DNA in the skin cells causing them to grow in abnormal ways and to become cancer cells.
Can skin cancer be cured?
There is no direct answer to this question, it depends on how early the skin cancer is diagnosed and whether it has spread to other organs. Talk to your provider to find out more about your particular prognosis.

Get personal referrals and as much information as you can about the clinics you’re considering. Visit the different clinics and find one that you feel comfortable with. Gauge your provider’s knowledge level about skin cancer and about the current research and treatment types in the field.
